Near-death experience at a casino
There has been a recent development in a 3-year old case where a man nearly died after visiting a local casino. Retired police lieutenant Richard Washart went to a restaurant in the Harrah’s Resort and Casino to celebrate as he described “the success of our emergency medical services”. However, that November 6th, 2012 evening took a sudden turn of events after Washart tasted his beer. Minutes after he felt sick, started throwing up blood and as a result was taken to the hospital where he spent a week. Recently it was ruled that the beer tap system was not connected properly which is how Washart got poisoned. Moreover, medical professionals that treated the police veteran, claimed that they have never seen anyone survive such a poisoning. Now, 4 years later the trials will start so hopefully, Washart will be able to put this case to rest knowing that he barely survived.
The problem is, these incidents are not isolated. You constantly can find news from casinos in Las Vegas, Atlantic City or elsewhere about people getting poisoned through food, beverages or sometimes even intentionally. I remember reading about a trio of casino robbers that carried out their robbery by poisoning one of the patrons. Who’s to say you won’t next?
And, call me crazy, but the more I hear about these stories, the less I am inclined to visit these casinos. Sure, they are famous, luxurious hotels where you can play casino games but there are lots of bad things happening there, too. Eventually, when you add them to a potential poisoning, you don’t really want to go anymore. Besides, do you know what the most popular casino game in every casino is? Slots.
So unless you’re are a high-stakes gambler or a blackjack professional, going to a casino to play slots is not that great of an idea. Especially when now you can access hundreds of different slots online through your desktop computer or even your mobile device. I am definitely not advocating gambling but if you are going to play at a casino, you might as well play online where it is much safer.
It truly is because you can take any online casino, from the big ones like Casino.com to smaller ones like Gowild Casino that you can play on your mobile at gowild-casino.de/?gowild-casino-mobile , they all are very carefully with customer’s money. One could even argue that they are more secure than brick and mortar casinos like Caesar’s Palace, Binnion’s or any other for that matter.
