“From the first minute. I walked through the door. I knew that this is the the place for my daughter and ever since i ve been thanking the day. I that decision one of the things that makes her school unique is that we blend the montessori philosophy with judaic values and anju date principles.
What we believe in is opening minds and hearts and we do that we open the children s minds and hearts to each other to their faith to their tradition. And to the world montessori has this special kind of energy that makes it different from other schools. A kids feel at home here. It is their second home.
It s really their place and the learning is their learning montessori education is user friendly education for children it speaks to them in the way that they learn and in the way that they experience the world and so i went to montessori from the age of two and a half until the other basics and from my perspective of provided me with a really strong foundation in my confidence in learning my ability to learn and how to figure things out by myself and one of the things that s really important to me as a montessori mom now is to see how montessori helps each child learn what they re ready to learn when they re ready to learn it i think one of the things that was really impressive to us about the montessori system is the investment into letting the child learn on their own terms. Discover. Things and follow their passions while still being able to get a well rounded education because they re always asked to engage and asked to give their ideas and their thoughts. You know you re not just delivering.
What somebody has requested every year you re actually seeing what needs to be done and off you go and you re doing and you have the confidence to do it s it s a very integrated approach in all of our classrooms. We have a montessori trained educators well as your studies teacher and i can connect any part of the curriculum to jewish perspective. Or the jewish connection to the calendar or what was happening in israel during this same time in ancient history. So it s really a lot of freedom just to pull all the threads today.
I feel that it is important to be able to give back to your community. I did sydney hacker fund for my butt mitzvah. So that was a fund..
A charity organization that was for kids at montessori that could not afford to come to the school. I wanted people to be able to feel that you know they could be here and be happy. I think that my education at montessori was really really vital for me to be able to be successful. If i didn t go here.
I don t think i would have been able to excel as much as i have been able to whereas. Traditional schools have children sitting at desk system into a teacher. We continue to have the children interacting with each other we know that their social sense. It s very strong so instead of having them.
Compete with each other we give them reasons to work with each. Other there is always a three year age mix in every class and one of the great advantages of this is a child has an experience of being the youngest. The newest. The person who doesn t know what s going on and after three years.
There the leader and they help those younger children so that constant going from following two leading is a really important part of dynamic and actually i think really prepares kids for later in life in different work contexts where we play both roles of leaders and followers and teammates all the time by the way. The classroom is structured in the small group lessons that are happening. A curious student might be watching or listening to a lesson. That s for mostly for third years and you can tell as the the teacher in their classroom.
This didn t really pay attention. They have an interest in that and it gives us the opportunity to either pull them in or take note of that and really help them seek seek that interest as well our teachers are very gifted in being able to inspire in the child that love of math that love of language. The love of science and history geography..
Botany and by so doing the children want to do the best they can so they achieved extremely high standards of academic excellence. We do that through giving them the hands on materials. Which give them a deep understanding and a certainty. I know what i m doing when you teach a child how to do fractions with pieces that they can manipulate they want to go on to the next thing.
And it is so common in our school for children to tell teachers can i learn that too when can i do that they re always willing and wanting to progress in every aspect of the tariqa. It is my responsibility and our accountability to make sure that we ve covered the subjects for our children. And when you exceed those standards and they do that out of their own self motivation. And therefore.
There is no limit other schools place to limit curriculum. We teach children and we teach children that their intelligence. h. But for me right now.
I think. This is the best use of those resources for me can be used better elsewhere for the time being so. That s where i am with birth coin. So it still an interest in project.
I think it has got a bright future. But it might take a year or maybe longer for those results really to shoot through and like i said i m still holding birds cawing art. I ve still got quite a few thousand burst..
So i m still holding those i m not selling out those that i will hold those for the future. So really just a redeployment of the hardware. One of a thing. I wanted to say with the hardware as well before getting into burst.
One of the other projects that i was really interested in was storage. And there s a few others also made safe and cyclone you guys are probably familiar with those projects. So originally when i sort of started buying the hard drives. I fought those that hardware can be better deployed amongst a range of crypto coins.
Not specifically just burst clone and but those other projects like cyclone. It s really gpu mine. In an hour a sec mining. So the you know rinse in your storage space isn t really an option for that same for storage.
It s literally only in pennies your your capacity is it s not getting deployed or it s not being utilized. So you re not really earning brain on that and made safe and never really look into it in more great detail. But i m not too sure how you put your own. Yeah.
Your hardware monster onto the network for made safe. So those other kind of a crypto projects. Didn t really materialize either..
So having just that hardware kind of sitting there i mean. There is other sort of options that i also consider that i was even considering setting up like a cloud sort of storage and service and things like that but there s extra complications and again. I don t really think the money is there so these are all kind of contributing factors to what i have decided to sell that hardware on the positive side of things i did get quite a good price for the hardware. So when i purchased most of my hard drives the kind of retail price of the process.
Roughly gained was about 25 pounds per terabyte and when i have sold them. I ve got between sort of 2 3. To 3 4 of my money back on each of the hard drives. So i think that a terabyte drives the legacy dryers went for about 150.
And i think i when i bought them a paid about 200 pounds of them. And the toshiba drives in the seagate speed went between sort of 70 and 90 for the 5 terabyte drives so quite good money back on those. But that s also one of the things i d expect in when i originally done my sort of calculations or where this was a work event. Sure i knew that the depreciation of hard drives is quite predictable and it falls off much much slower than say graphics cards or cpus.
So for the those guys that i ve got hard drives and if it s not really making any money don t worry too much because like i said. I don t depreciate quite as fast as other assets. So you ve got plenty of time to to make a well informed decision. So that s kind of a wrap up of burst qin.
What s happening over there and where am i going forward or what what opportunities ” ..
