Because it s really difficult to create a lot of different pages based on the keywords that you re targeting and to match up with your advertisements as well. But that s really the goal that every advertiser should be trying to achieve so to get right into it the 7 best practices that i m gonna be going over. Today are gonna be to first create a seamless experience so that means from the time someone searches a keyword. The time someone sees your advertisement.
You want to make sure that that experience is as seamless as possible from the search clicking the advertisement and then going to your landing page. So the more that everything matches up the better that that design is the more that you re gonna see your conversion rate. Increase over time number 2 is going to be match keywords. So this is gonna be more for paid advertising on google on being even pinterest anywhere that you re actually targeting keywords you want to make sure that you re matching those keywords with your landing pages.
So if someone s looking for something specific like a social media marketing tool. You want to make sure that your page is specific to a social media. Marketing tool. You don t want to stray too much from what people are actually typing in and the messaging on your advertisement.
Number 3 is going to promote a clear offer so i m gonna be going through examples for each one of these different best practices with some different landing pages. And searches in google. But promoting a clear offer just making sure that people understand what they re gonna get when they do sign up for your service or they do purchase something from you above the fold. So every important thing should be above the fold.
When people do enter your website. So i ll go over a little bit more what that means if you re not familiar with it. But above the fold. Basically means that when someone comes into your landing page.
They should see the offer they should see the call to action everything should be above the fold. So that people don t have to scroll down the page to start to see more of the things that they re gonna get from your products or services. Number. 5.
Is going to be call to action. So this one should be pretty obvious. But just if someone s looking for a quote. If someone s looking for a travel deal anything like that you want your call to action to really match.
What people are looking for so request a quote your travel deal anything like that you want your call to action to really match. What people are looking for a desktop and mobile friendly. So people are going to be searching on all sorts of devices a desktop device a tablet their laptop a mobile device any type of device that someone might search for your keywords and visit your landing page you have to make sure that it s gonna be a good design. So they can easily use it using any device that they use and last.
But not least is limit external links. So the worst thing that can happen is someone clicks through to your landing page has some level of interest but ends up clicking on a link that goes to a separate page that doesn t incorporate your landing page. Well so every link on your landing. Page.
Should ultimately help people reach a conversion. So now. I m gonna get into some of these different examples here and keep these seven landing page best practices in mind. I ll come back and refer to this screen as well.
But we re gonna come over here to landing pages. So the first thing. I did was i searched social media software free trial..
So if someone types us in they re clearly looking for a social media software. It doesn t necessarily need to be free forever. They re just looking for a free trial. So maybe.
Someone is interested in investing some money in social media management or social media software. And what they want to do is they want to get test a few different products and see which one works best for them so i clicked on the later com landing page. I actually didn t really like that one too much so i m not gonna feature. It now i clicked on this one down.
Here. Social media. Marketing tool. Try content.
Cal for free save. Time creates. Better. Social media content so i come over.
Here and i. Open. It and says. Content cal 20.
Has arrived web. Clipper content hub preset times. Much more waits. Join thousands of teams and agencies.

Get started free. So a clear call to action. A seamless experience. Everything is presented above the fold.
And then all these links over here so product tours. So if i want to learn more about this product before i enter my email address. I can click up here. If i want to learn more about pricing integrations maybe i want to see some webinars about how to use this content cow product.
I can do that here as well book. A demo blog. Login or sign up for free. So all of these are different ways that are gonna help me reach a conversion ultimately maybe not blog and webinars it depends on what the webinars are presenting.
But i would say each of these links will help me reach a conversion. If i scroll down you re just gonna see here some different companies that are using this product. These are probably some screenshots for how it works if i keep scrolling down. You re gonna see a beautifully visual social calendar.
So add your content. Visually and share. With your team a place to collaborate with your team keep scrolling down integration hub social analytics..

This is a really good landing page to get started with and if someone s looking for a free trial with a social media software. This is a perfect landing page. Because there s a clear call to action here. I just enter my email address and i can get started for free.
Today. Okay. Next is gonna be number two so for number two. I typed in soundproof door kit.
So let s just say i want to soundproof adorn. My home soundproof a door to a recording studio any of these different things we re gonna get a bunch of different ads here so at the very top. We have four different advertisements. I clicked on a few of them and then as we scroll down here to the bottom.
There s more advertisements as well at the very bottom. So the two that i opened here were soundproof cow calm and if we come to the top and we have acoustical solutions. Calm. You can also see some google shopping ads over here so these obviously the landing page is gonna present this product.
So i m not gonna go through too much with google shopping ads really more just text ads that people might click after they search your targeted keywords so the first one is gonna be acoustical solutions. Com. If i click here i come here door and window solutions so very clear offer i can see some different products for sale if i click on details i can get started with purchasing these products. I can see the pricing here probably varies depending on the size of the product that i order if i keep scrolling down you re gonna see a acoustics noise lock door and another noise lock click ship door so i can get started with all these different things to soundproof a door or a window whether it s in my house.
Whether it s to a recording studio. So this is a really good landing page. And you can see up here. So they have trustpilot trust score four point seven two hundred eighty nine reviews.
So i can feel pretty confident ordering from this company. If i m not familiar with them they have a phone number up here at the top. If i want to learn more about it i can do that if i see a specific product that i m looking for then i can click on that product here open it and kind of get started with learning more about all their door and windows solutions. Now.
The one thing. I would say is i like this he more just specifically about soundproofing so obviously acoustical solutionscom. Their ultimate goal is to help me soundproof or control sound in a specific environment. But i think it would be very good to just put something about soundproofing here so door and window solutions.
And then just something get started with soundproofing. Any door or any window. Today. So even just a short little blurb right here.
I think that could be very helpful for people to understand all these different products down here. Even a little bit better now the other one over here. Was soundproof cow comm. So very simple.

They have all their products for sale. Everything is really geared towards what i typed in and i clicked on a few other landing pages for soundproofing and these were the two best ones that i really saw. So. This is gonna be example.
Number. Two okay. So next is gonna be example number three and number three. I typed in black friday laptop deals so black friday is coming up.
So companies should have their black friday sales all ready to go once november hits people start researching black friday. So i type in black friday. Laptop deals and i found this ad right. Here.
By best. Buy. Very simple black friday laptop and computer deals 2019 so i think. That s absolutely perfect.
I click on this i open up their landing. Page. Black. Friday laptop and computer deals 2019 so just coming back over.
Here. You can see they create a seamless experience they match the keywords they re promoting a clear offer. It s black friday laptop deals. If we come back to the landing.
Page. You can see they have four different offers here above the fold. And then as i scroll down. They have a bunch of different products for sale as well so i think that s absolutely perfect.
We come back over here they have call to action so if i want to add these specific products in my cart i can if i want to learn more about individual products. I can they also have now four macbook imac windows devices feature laptops and then they even have some mice for sale here now we ll come back over you re gonna see desktop and mobile friendly and limit external links. So we come over here all the links are just gonna be two different things on best buy and the other thing i can do is look at what this page is gonna look like on a mobile device so this is the mobile device look and you re gonna see here. Responsive 400 by 799 so on a mobile device it looks like it s very easy to use they have their offers right here.
If i come over here. I can scroll down and see the laptops for sale and easily use this i can use their filters over here to the left hand side. So i can kind of see what this looks like on a mobile device. I think.
This is an absolutely perfect landing page based on what i typed in black friday. Laptop deals. They ve met all seven requirements all seven best practices..
So i would assume that that page is gonna convert very well for people who are looking for laptops during black friday or any type of computer now the last example. I m going to do i think it s a perfect landing page. And it just shows you how simple a landing page can be to be very successful car insurance quote. So i come to google car insurance quote.
Obviously something that s very competitive there s a bunch of different companies that offer car insurance and they re bidding a lot of money to get these results in. Google so here all i did was click on the geicocom car insurance advertisement geico car insurance get a free rate quote and then you can see here in just 15 minutes. You didn t save 500 or more get a quote free quotes. Get a quote down here a site link.
So i think. This is a perfect advertisement for what i searched and then i click on this landing page. I come through and you can see very simple call to action everything is above the fold you can also reach us via mobile app phone or local agent. So there s four different options for me here i enter.
My zip code and start to get a quote. Otherwise. What i can do is reach. Them using my mobile app.
Using my telephone or just reaching a local agent. If i come down here. There s no external links you can see 75 years of saving people money second largest auto insurer in the us. 97.
Customer satisfaction so three very simple selling points and even just looking right here delightfully. Easy you can see that they know that this is a very easy landing page to use i come in here. I enter my zip code. And i can easily get started and then the last thing i want to show you is this page is also mobile friendly.
So what we do is we ll just click on f12 here. And that s gonna open this here. You can toggle device at the top right here so this is desktop. This is mobile.
You can see it s a great landing page and something so simple that just has one little form here other different ways to reach geico and get car insurance. So coming back over here to our landing page. Best practices create a seamless experience match keywords promote a clear offer keep everything important above the fold. Especially your call to action.
So that s gonna take us in at number five here desktop and mobile friendly is vital. You can t have a page that s not mobile friendly. It s just gonna hurt your conversion rate over time and then last. But not least limit external links limit any links that are gonna hurt your conversion rate.
If people click on a specific link on your website. And it makes them not as likely to convert you probably don t want that link on your landing page. So some pretty simple landing page best practices. But different things to keep in mind.
As you do create your own landing pages. Again. I think landing pages are one of the biggest challenges and paid advertising just because it s hard to create landing pages for every single type of keyword that people are typing in and every single keyword that you re targeting.
