short form rfp template This is a topic that many people are looking for. thetruthaboutdow.org is a channel providing useful information about learning, life, digital marketing and online courses …. it will help you have an overview and solid multi-faceted knowledge . Today, thetruthaboutdow.org would like to introduce to you Templates and Tools for Suppliers – BC Government s Short-Form Request for Proposal . Following along are instructions in the video below:
“My name is liz low. And i m. A procurement expert. Working for the government government of british columbia.
In this video is going to be talking about the two short form request for proposals or s. Rfp. The templates and tools that are available to you as a proponent to an s rfp opportunity. So what is it that you can look for that helps you through this process.
We do have a website that has all of the s rfp resources available. When you go to that website. You ll see that it s divided into three categories. One is for suppliers.
People like yourselves who are interested in responding srp s one is for the buyers. These would be the ministry folks who are using the s rfp to acquire the goods and services that they need and the third is for information seekers. These are folks who are just looking to see what the srf p is all about so if you click on the suppliers section. You re going to find a number of resources.
Available to you first one is the proponents guide to an s. Rfp response. This is the how to fill out the appendix. A is part of what s covered in this guide.
So that s going to be a really great resource for you you ll also see a ministry writer s guide. This is a much larger document that helps the ministries to figure out what it is they need to do in running an s. Rfp process. There s the s.
Rfp template. This is the smart form one that s not been filled out. But that s available for the ministries to use and if you re curious about what did the s rfp starts out looking like by all means have a look at that template. You ll also have a link to the terms and conditions or the s rfp rules that apply to every s rfp as a proponent.
If you re going to be submitting a proposal on an s rfp. Strongly recommend that you read those terms and conditions at some point. And ask questions if there s anything that s not clear or maybe..
Even have someone you know with a legal background have a look at it explain to you what those terms and conditions mean you re going to be finding some links to core policies. So these are the roles that the ministries. Follow. There s also information videos such as this one.
And some frequently asked questions that we may find useful. If you re looking at the srf p. As a general thing or one in specific. So.
Let s talk. A little bit then about the proponents guide. So here s a screenshot of what the proponents guide looks like it s going to help you understand how the srf p. Works and really importantly.
What you need to think about when you re putting your response. Together for an s. Rfp. Now.
This isn t a large document. It s about eight pages long. So it s not hugely difficult or time consuming to read and absorb the information. That s in there.
So what is in the proponents guide. So in the proponents guide you re going to find a number of content. Headings that will be useful to you let starts out with an introduction. So what s the s rfp all about what s the overview.
Things you need to know and then it goes through the short form request for proposal itself. So this is going to be telling you all of the sections that are in the srp. What do they mean so it ll cover things like how important. It is the closing date and time that the government contact.
What that s all about when do you need to use it and you ll notice that there s six sections to the srf p. And the document will step you through each one of those what you can expect to see in each one of them the next section is going to be talking about how to complete the appendix. A so in the appendix..
A this is the srp proposal form that you as a vendor need to fill out so it s really important that you understand what s being asked so how do i use a smart form. What should i include in my answers to the questions that the ministry is asking that s what s going to be covered in this guide. There s not a section on submitting an sfp proposal. So what is it that you need to know if you re going to be submitting your proposal either in hard copy or through the e bidding system they ll be information on what you need to know about that and some hints and tips on how to make it easier for yourself.
And the final section is frequently asked questions so the kinds of questions that you might see or that might be of interest to you in this collection is why isn t the s rfp process used for all rfp competitions. And do i have to use the s. Rfp proposal form and i have a question who do i contact for more information. So this is real simple place for you to go to find out more information or to answer those kinds of questions that people often have about the srf p.
So the writer s guide. This is a document that is available for the ministries and it covers things such as when the srf piece. Should be used how to develop those s. Rfp documents and that includes both the srf p.
And the ministries portion of the appendix. A and also how to manage and document the competition itself so everything that the ministry needs to know about the srf p. Now. This document is publicly available as a proponent.
You re more than welcome to have a read of it. But i do learn yet. It s a wee bit larger than the proponents guide. Proponents.
Guide is about eight pages writer s guide is over 50. So it s a bit of a read. If that s what you d like to do so another tool. That s available is the s rfp template itself and you can see a screenshot of it here this is what it looks like when the ministry is filling it out so.
This is the document that the ministries use to complete their opportunity notice. So the s rfp itself the ministries fill out what it is that they want to buy in the s. Rfp portion of the document now if you re looking at the template. It s going to look like it s way more than two pages and that s simply because the srp and the appendix.
A are put together when we are developing the sfe. It s not until we save the final versions of it that it splits into two documents. The two page srf p..
Plus. The appendix. A that use a proponent would fill out so in that s. Rfp template.
Then you re going to see. The appendix. A the proposal form so when it is the template. It s part of the srf p.
When it s been completed and finalized you re going to see it as the fillable pdf for that particular opportunity. It s the smart form that you complete and in this document. You would be writing. How you re going to meet the government s or the provinces requirements or even better how you can exceed them.
And this may include things such as you experience with the services or similar services. How you re going to be delivering the services. How much the services are going to cost how much you charge for them those types of things. But please remember.
When you re filling out your proposal you need to use the appendix. A it s a mandatory requirement and do not include urls or appendices unless that specific s rfp asks you to do that that s a really important part of this so the ffp website also contains the terms and conditions or the s rfp rules. And here you re seeing a screenshot of what those srp rules look like you ll see that they contain the mandatory process requirements really important that you read these and that you clearly demonstrate how you have met each one. If you haven t met one of them in your response to it s.
Rfp your proposals not even going to be read. So you want to be sure you understand how to meet them and clearly do this website will also contain all of the rules that apply to the s rfp process at some point. It s a really good idea to have a read of those rules. Ask whatever questions you need to ask about them maybe.
Even get someone you know with a legal background to have a look at that and explain anything that s not clear so. The srf pyrroles. Always apply to all srf piece. Now they do get updated occasionally from time to time not very often.
But when that happens the srp terms and conditions that were in place. The date. That your s..
Rfp was posted those are the ones that apply for your srp and will have old s rfp terms and conditions available. If that were to happen to you in an srp you re interested in so if that were to happen then. We would update the terms and conditions and we would also include a document that talks about what the changes were so if you have read the terms and conditions in the past and now there s been an update done you don t have to read absolutely everything again you can just reference that changes document and only look at those things that are different from the last time you reviewed them. Now you don t have to read the terms and conditions in order to participate in the srp.
But if you recall from the video around the overview in the process. When you submit a proposal to an srp you re agreeing to them all always a good idea to know what it is you re agreeing to the srp website. Also includes a link to core policy. Now this is chapter 6 of the core policy procedures manual that covers procurement for the ministries.
Now if you re interested you might want to have a peruse through this website as it explains what the rules are or what the expectations are for the ministries that are going out to competition. And that includes for the sfp. The rfp or any other type of solicitation. Even direct awards is covered here.
So you might want to have a look at what it is that the policy says about compete competitions and entering into contracts. This is a screenshot now of the website itself the srf p website. And you ll see that there is a link that says suppliers for suppliers. Responding to s.
Rfps. That s what you want to click on as a proponent as someone looking for information relevant to proponents if you click on that link it s going to take you to all of the information that we ve been talking about in this video. That s how you get there you can see at the bottom of your screen. The url that takes you to the main page of the srf p.
So i hope you best of luck to you and responding to your s. Rfps. And hopefully. This video has been helpful in view understanding.
What resources are available. And where you can go to get. ” ..
