“It s not his fault well if he doesn t get the blame. I do do you have been on that end before well the cold weather is on the and we want to let you know make your furnace. Safe and ready here s andy good morning. I want to say thanks ron well i know it s good for business.
It s all relative and you re busy all year round. I am with every season. But i like them all i like the winter and i might even have to find that winter coat. So at my house.
We pay a lot for the furnace and to get it maintained. But are these tips on your own well to a point these are the simple things i get them checked every year. And i have a professional to check all the igniters and thfilters and i have it serviced by a professional and i highly recommend people to do that just so you know for safety. But there s things that you can do in between the number one thing.
The most important thing for everyones furnace is the filter. So whether it s a pleated one or a box. One the whole idea of a furnace filter now i hate to use the word cheap. But this one is old school and cheap type filter and everyone should be trying to upgrade to like the pleated ones.
They catch a lot more dirt as it travels through the house. The fiber glass are flat. And these are pleated and they catch more dirt and keeps your house and furnace cleaner well what happens if you don t clean it the furnace will suffocate it s like a filter in your car or on your face if it gets clogged it can t breathe if it can t breathe the dirtier. The harder.
The furnace has to work and the harder. It works the more you pay that s where it hurts okay..
And yeah. It s going to burn up the motor. Because it has to work harder to get the air moving through and it s just like putting a piece of card board in front of the intake. It just can t breathe so fill up on filters.
How often do you have to change well depends on the grade like this once i change every month. Because they can t handle much this one you could probably do 2 to 3 months out of the and then this filter probably 3 to 4 months. And you go into the box type filters. If your furnace is capable of take it these are about 6 months.
So what does that cost they re anywhere from 30 to 60. This one is about 4. But the one other thing that i like to do i like a healthy house. Whether you have kids or not.
There s things you can do to prevent germs. I take a filter and i spray it a now one with the bot tronnics right and you have the events to replace that well once again you need to replace it so you need try and clean those and these are humid fires humidifiers you need to clean them and to do that use the clr cleaner and so forth so you could take these and just put it into a 5 gallon bucket and put the cleaning on and you can get 3 to 4 years because it s metal yeah it s a metal mesh. But if you never clean it if i brought an old one and you touched it was rust and corrode and falls apart. So you really should clean it and the thermostat itself upgrade you should have a digital one because it saves energy.
When you re gone or late at night you. Don t need it at 68 . But make sure you change the batteries in it you know. When you changed.
The smoke alarm change this one good stuff andy thanks andy and he s a ke sure that you get these things adjusted right and keep them tight once they re screwed in okay and here s the back. And you guys you can see inside because they use this empty space inside for all that storage..
So keeping on this seat design is that there s basically a metal frame around the edge. And it s hollow inside. So there s this kind of plastic band. Which goes kind of in your lower back or sort of middle back.
And there s there s padding on the mesh. But basically the fabric here that s sort of supporting you so it s sort of in i guess stretches in tension as you lean back on it so don t expect there to be springs or foam. You know a solid block of foam pushing you outwards it s basically just an empty frame and so your weight is sort of being spread across there and spread across the fabric. And i guess some of your weight goes directly into the frame at your shoulders.
So one of the complaints about the it doesn t really have much head support. So if you look kind of person. I don t know you re trying to sleep in the chair and you re really leaning back you re gonna be resting your head directly on here so if you want a headrest type chair obviously stay away from this one okay so let s take a quick look inside the bag of hardware. There s actually only three different sized bolts in this and we have a short stubby.
One a long skinny. One and kind of a middle length fat. One. And the nice thing is they all use the same hex head allen wrench socket on the top and of course.
Because it s ikea it comes with the allen wrench. The infamous allen wrench and the nice thing. Which i haven t actually seen a lot is it actually comes with the socket attachment. That s also the same size and so this is really awesome.
If you have say a power screwdriver or you have even just a socket wrench and you need to use it for the specific size they make sure that you ve got it covered so that will save you a lot of trouble because as i mentioned. There s a lot of screws that have to go into that base and obviously to hold the chair sides together as well so for today s video..
I m gonna be using this this is one of those cheap electric screwdrivers that they sell at ikea in a tool section. It was only like you know twelve dollars or whatever. And i knew i had a lot of these things to do and not just for me. But for my staff.
They re not so quickly to shoes. So i figured. It s worth the investment just for today and then of course. I ll use it again in the future.
So here we go and all set to go so. It s gonna be a lot faster okay so for the first step. We want to take the center hub and we re going to put each of the five legs into it and screw it in so. As you can see there s two holes here.
There s two holes here these ones are tapped so they have threads and so you can basically just put it in here and screw it in and then the wheels go in here. And just repeat five times. They mentioned the instructions to put this on like a carpet or something that won t scratch. I don t have that i have a concrete floor.
So i m just going to try to use the cardboard that came on the back of the seat and you know this was an office chair. It s not my personal one big it s a little scratch. Not the end of the world. So let s take the five legs out as you can see lots of wasted packaging.
So since these screw in independently each. Other you don t have to like assemble all five and then tighten the screws all at the same time basically it doesn t matter so i m gonna start with the first one and then go from there so you want to use the short screws the stubby ones..
And i m gonna get them in by hand. And then use the electric screwdriver after okay okay. So here. We are with the five legs screwed into the hub.
As you can see not so hard just make sure that you go back and tighten. These up each one of these again make it nice and tight because every time you get in now this chair. You re gonna be loading and unloading on here and you don t want to come loose. And you don t want to wiggle free.
You don t want it to come out that s for sure and i mean just as far as the comfort of the chair. You don t want to be rocking and stuff so just make sure. It s nice and solid and then next step. We put the castor s here in the ends.
And these just literally just kind of push in so not even snap and again these are the kind of wheels that are going to lock. When you are not sitting in the chair and if you push down okay. So you can feel it if you push in they they can turn and if you let go they basically don t want to turn you can actually you can shove. It if you really try so anyway do all five of those pretty simple okay so next up.
We take the base of the seat and we screw in this base plate. Probably the most important thing is to make sure that you get this point at the right way. So you want to ” ..
